Applications for the Graduate and Professional Student Council’s Spring 2018 Travel Awards are open for professional travel during the period between March 1, 2018 and May 31, 2018. Find more details on the latest applications below.

GPSC Travel Awards Application

  • Type I awards are available to applicants participating as a commentator, panel chair, and/or presenter of at least one of the following: paper, poster, workshop, recital, case competition display, and/or work of art or design.

    Type II awards are available to applicants who are a co-author/co-creator of the paper, poster, workshop, recital, case competition display, and/or work of art or design but are not presenting; are attending a professional committee as an officer (applicants need to provide additional proof of membership on committee); and/or traveling to another institution for education or training pertaining to applicant's research or degree.

    Type III awards are available to applicants who are attending a conference related to their field but not presenting research; are attending a career fair; and/or are attending an audition.

  • Required Document

    It is strongly encouraged that you review the instructions found in the Application Instructions on www.gpsc.tamu.edu

    The required documents are:
    a. Anonymous Abstract (300 words max) filled in the application form
    b. Anonymous Personal Statement (500 words max) filled in the application form
    c. Resume or CV uploaded on the application form.

    In the abstract and personal statement, please do NOT include:
    Applicant's name.
    Laboratory, Center, or Institute’s name.
    Mentor, principal investigator, and/or faculty advisor’s name and/or title.
    If any of the information above is not met, the application will be considered.

  • Reference Information

    Your reference must be one of a professional nature that has clear relevance to your graduate or professional career. They will be sent a separate evaluation form to the e-mail address. You are responsible for ensuring they complete the reference form. The reference form will be sent after the closing of travel award application January 12, 2018
