2017 Kunze Awards

The Kunze Award is an annual achievement award that recognizes a faculty or staff member of Texas A&M University that has made outstanding contributions to the success and prosperity of the welfare of a graduate student or group of graduate students. Awards will be announced and distributed at the 2017 Annual Graduate and Professional Student Council (GPSC) Awards Banquet on May 1, 2017.

Dr. George W. Kunze was a former Dean of Graduate Studies.
The application deadline is at 11:59pm on Thursday March 30, 2017.

Nominator Instructions
Fields with a red asterisk (*) are required. Your responses and submission are confidential and will be reviewed by an evaluation committee chaired by GPSC Awards Chair. This form will close on March 30, 2017 at 11:59 PM. You may save your form responses for up to 7 days before the system will automatically and permanently delete them. All questions should be directed to awards@gpsc.tamu.edu.

The Narrative: In 500-600 words please explain why you are nominating the individual by explaining (a) how has the nominee shown/what has the nominee’s help on the growth of graduate students; (b) how has the nominee consistently the nominee’s provide advice on the well-being of graduates; (c) how has the nominee shown care and dedication for graduate students, and (d) what are the qualification of the nominee. Providing clear examples serves to strengthen the claims you make and build your nominee’s credibility and competitiveness. There are no formatting requirements beyond the word limit.
