Council Awards

The Graduate and Professional Student Council offers three distinct awards each year which honor students and faculty who go above and beyond to serve the Council, University, and Community–they and the people they serve are the Spirit of Aggieland.

The Aggie Core Values Award
The Aggie Core Values Award recognizes graduate and professional students who exemplify the Aggie Spirit by consistently displaying the characteristics and qualities of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service.

The Guseman Award
The Guseman Award recognizes graduate and professional students for their outstanding contributions to the success and prosperity of the Graduate and Professional Student Council and the Graduate and Professional Student Body of the Texas A&M University. Lawrence Guseman was a mathematics faculty member from 1967 until his death in 1991 and a former Dean of Graduate Studies.

The Kunze Award
The Kunze Award is an annual achievement award that recognizes a faculty or staff member of Texas A&M University that has made outstanding contributions to the success and prosperity of the welfare of a graduate student or group of graduate students.
